Our Gospel & Arts Perspective

All of creation reveals God’s love for humanity and beauty. He is the source of all that is good, beautiful and true. His Spirit and purpose permeate creation, which flows out of God’s perfect community, and continues to redeem our broken world, making all things one and new. Made in the image of God, all human beings possess the ability to create and /or experience art, although our fallen nature allows us to do so imperfectly.  At the core, we're all connected through the same basic desires, needs, and hopes. Through creativity, we search to find meaning, constantly wrestling with dualities (earthly passions and heavenly longings), seeking fulfillment and purpose. In the gospel, God initiates and we respond to His goodness and beauty with new eyes; finding true identity and peace in the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Newcomers Meet & Greet: Second Sunday of the month

If you are new to Grace or even if you have been coming for a few weeks, we would love to meet you, say hello and answer any questions you may have! Our next Meet & Greet will be on December 18.

Newcomer Meet & Greets are typically held every other month, on the second Sunday of the month. After the service on those Sundays a few staff will be in the cafe near the Information Desk to greet you and chat for a bit. It’s very informal, no presentation or agenda, just a time to say hello & help in any way we can. (There will be some bottled water and a few snacks to help tide you over until you can get lunch afterwards.)

Celebrate Christmas at Grace Mills River

We invite your family to join us for our Christmas Eve service at 4:30pm on Saturday, December 24. We look forward to celebrating the Incarnation with our GMR family & friends! Children welcome, no childcare available.

We will hold an "unplugged" worship service at 10:30am on Christmas morning for those who are able to attend in person. We will celebrate Christ's birth with a few worship songs and short devotional led by Pastor Lafferty.

*Please note: The balcony will be closed for the Christmas Morning Worship Service

Dec 4

Waiting upon the Lord is more than merely biding your time or maintaining an even keel. Waiting means having particular expectations–your hopes set on particular objects that then affect how you think and respond to your present circumstances...
